Interior lighting
We lay out recessed lighting for the room, add under-cabinet and task lighting in kitchens, and install fixtures and chandeliers, including heavy chandeliers in two-story entries that need a box and support rated for the weight. Dimmers are matched to the fixtures. The scope says whether the ceiling has to be opened and patched. Send us photos of the rooms and we will scope it.
Ceiling fans
Ceiling fans go on fan-rated boxes with proper blocking, with wall or remote control. We also handle vaulted ceilings, long downrods, and damp-rated fans for covered patios. If there is no box or no switch where you want the fan, we add the circuit and the switch. Tell us the fan model and where it goes and we will scope it from there.
Exterior and landscape lighting
Entry and path lighting, low-voltage landscape systems, motion-sensing security lights, and switched soffit outlets for holiday lighting. Exterior work gets weather-rated fixtures, in-use covers, and GFCI protection, and we run a new circuit where the existing porch light circuit will not carry the load. For businesses we do LED retrofits, parking lot lighting, and security lighting on photocells or timers.
Questions
Can you add recessed lighting without opening the ceiling?
Often, yes. Slim LED fixtures and careful fishing let us light many rooms from small cut-ins.
Why do my LEDs flicker on the dimmer?
Usually a dimmer that is not rated for the fixtures. Tell us the fixture and dimmer models and we will match them, or replace the dimmer on the visit.
Do you hang heavy chandeliers?
Yes. Heavy chandeliers and fans get a box and support rated for the weight, fan-rated where a fan goes.
